USA Taekwondo and Vision/Tusah Introduce the 2025 USATKD Anna & Sun Kang Academic Excellence Scholarship

Charlotte, NC - Dec 9, 2024: USA Taekwondo and Vision/Tusah Introduce the 2025 USATKD Anna & Sun Kang Academic Excellence Scholarship

USA Taekwondo and its official partner, Vision/Tusah, are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 USATKD Anna & Sun Kang Academic Excellence Scholarship as part of the All-Academic Honors Program. This scholarship opportunity aims to support United States Taekwondo athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence.

The All-Academic Honors Program recognizes athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.85 or higher with the Gold Award, and those with a GPA of 3.4-3.84 with the Silver Award. This year, applicants who submit an essay along with their application will have the chance to compete for the prestigious 2025 USATKD Anna & Sun Kang Academic Excellence Scholarship. Two deserving winners – one male and one female – will be selected and announced at the 2025 U.S. National Taekwondo Championship Gala.

USA Taekwondo and Vision/Tusah are dedicated to supporting the academic pursuits of taekwondo athletes and are excited to offer this scholarship opportunity to further encourage and reward academic excellence within the taekwondo community.

Program Highlights:

· [RECOGNITION]: Scholarship award winners will be recognized on USA Taekwondo social media channels and on the USATKD website.

· [FINANCIAL BENEFIT]: $2,000 will be awarded to the top male scholarship winner and $2,000 will be awarded to the top female scholarship winner.

· [PROGRAM KEY DATES]: Applications and essay submissions may be made from March 17 – May 31. The link for submissions will made available in March 2025. The Gold and Silver teams will be announced on June 16th and the 2 scholarship winners will be announced in July 2025 at the U.S. National Taekwondo Championship Gala.
