    The Safety of ALL amateur athletes is a primary goal of the USA Taekwondo organization. The U.S. Center for SafeSport, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USPOC) and National Governing Body USA Taekwondo are leading in the movement to put an end to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of ALL amateur athletes.


    USA TAEKWONDO IS SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR SAFETY

    USA Taekwondo responsibilities include:

    • The establishment of training, policies and procedures for the USA Taekwondo organization and the implementation of these at USA Taekwondo events.
    • The education and training for all USA Taekwondo members, including but not limited to - athletes, coaches, parents, and staff.
    • A response and resolution protocol that includes a reporting process that is anonymous and has no cost associated.
    • The sanctioning of individuals found in violation of the SafeSport Code.
    • The implementation of oversight mechanisms to ensure 100% compliance to SafeSport standards, policy and procedures.

    The U.S. Center for SafeSport accepts all reports affecting U.S. Taekwondo participants. The U.S. Center for SafeSport has exclusive jurisdiction to investigate and resolve reports affecting U.S. Taekwondo participants in the categories below:

    • Sexual Misconduct, including without limitation child sexual abuse and any misconduct that is reasonably related to an underlying allegation of Sexual Misconduct
    • Criminal Charges or Dispositions involving Child Abuse or Sexual Misconduct
    • Misconduct Related to Reporting, where the underlying allegation involves Child Abuse or Sexual Misconduct
    • Aiding and Abetting, when it relates to the Center’s process
    • Misconduct Related to the Center’s Process
    • Other Inappropriate Conduct, as defined herein

    The U.S. Center for SafeSport also accepts reports of emotional and physical misconduct (including bullying, hazing, stalking, and harassment). Reports of emotional and physical misconduct can also be made directly to the USA Taekwondo organization. Also, reports of MAAPP violations can be made directly to USA Taekwondo.
